A large polychrome painted plaster figure of a jester by Charles René de Saint Marceaux (French 1845-1915). Dressed in traditional costume, hat and mask, with a baton in his right hand, standing on a planked wood effect stage, signed ‘St Marceaux’ and dated 1879,
