A very attractive Central European painted armoire dated 1829 with the original painted decoration in duck egg blue,red white and black.
This cupboard was probably made to commemorate a marriage or significant family event and retails all its original decoration. It has the added bonus of being made in two halves presumably to enable it to be carried upstairs in a farmhouse and retains all its original clothes hooks as well as hanging rail across the middle as well as having a useful drawer below.
In good solid condition it would make a great hall cupboard for storage of coats.

A wonderful Adam period painted pine library bookcase c 1790 with traces of the original white paint to the exterior and retaining the original lichen paint to the interior shelf fronts. This rare bookcase has extremely elegant oval astragal glazed sliding doors retaining the original thin hand blown glass to the upper section; the lower section has the same arrangement of sliding panel doors revealing an adjustable shelved interior.

A fabulous Marsh and Jones of Leeds 5 piece Ash Bedroom suite c 1875 to a design by Charles Bevan in the Reformed Gothic style inlaid with boxwood walnut and ebony.
Comprising a combination wardrobe with castellated cornice with hanging space to the right hand side and trays and drawers to the middle and left; a mirror back dressing table; a marble top washstand ; a bedside cupboard and a towel rail.
This suite is of the highest quality and was based on the original designed for Titus Salt for his house at Milner Field by Charles Bevan in 1872 and now at Temple Newsam Museum near Leeds. The design by Bevan proved so popular that Marsh and Jones one of the best Northern Cabinet makers made further suites such as this for commercial sale.
