A large and rare Syrian or Cairene mother of pearl inlaid Shisham wood coffer or chest. Late 19th c.
This magnificent bone inlaid box has finely decorated inlay on all 5 visible sides and is in lovely original condition. Although this form of decoration is common in tables it is very rare to find a box or coffer of this scale or quality.
