Description :
A George 1 walnut and mahogany chest on chest circa 1725 with all the original brass handles and escutcheons. The bottom section with a brushing slide and sunburst to the bottom drawer .
At some stage probably in the 1930`s the original finish was cleaned off and the piece covered in a dark treacly varnish. We have sensitively removed this and as it came out so well have decided to leave it with a gentle clear wax rather than re polishing.
