Macintosh Antiques was founded by Patrick Macintosh in 1991 in Sherborne Dorset and is now run together with his wife Victoria from a lovely hamstone mews building in the heart of the town with showrooms covering 3500 square feet. Our stock dates from the 17th to the 20th centuries and ranges from traditional Georgian oak and mahogany , West Country painted furniture, lighting and accessories through the Architect designed furniture of the 19th century to the English Arts and Crafts movement of the early 20th.
We are largely open by appointment and all of our clients and friends are assured a warm welcome. We tend to be open on Saturdays but do please ring or text me on 07768 606811 or Vickie on 07790 065564 to save a wasted journey .
All the items on our website are priced and available for sale and we are able to offer a delivery service ourselves in the UK . We have our own van which goes to London and the Home Counties weekly and we can organise overseas shipments if required through a web of experienced and well proven shippers and carriers. Please contact us for more details.
We also have a 5000 square foot store close to Sherborne with a large quantity of un-restored furniture for dealers and interior designers. There is a particular emphasis on comfortable country house upholstery and large tables.
In addition we exhibit at the Battersea Decorative Fair thrice yearly. Our next fair is the Autumn Fair from the 3rd to the 8th of October 2023 and you can find a free entrance ticket on the NEWS section of our website above.
Patrick was a past Chairman of the West of England Antique Dealers Association a member of CINOA and was a Board Director of LAPADA one of the two main UK Antique Associations. We are also very active members of Selling Antiques and update stock regularly on Instagram as well.
