It is very unusual to find a chair of this form with brass inlaid decoration very much in Middle Eastern Islamic style.
A table with similar inlay is illustrated in Amin Jaffer`s Furniture from British India and Ceylon : V and A Publications 2001 on p 293 attributed to Lahore now part of Islamic Pakistan.
