A Zanzibar shisham wood and brass studded coffer c 1880 .These coffers traditionally come from Zanzibar and the old Arab slave ports of East Africa and the Yemeni and Omani coasts of the Arabian peninsular. They make great coffee tables or storage chests for the end of a bed.
