Description :
A wonderful quality pair of early Victorian mahogany library bookcases c 1840 . The upper sections each with a pair of framed panel doors fitted flush and seemingly with no door openers. The upper doors are opened by secret brass catches under the shelve revealed when opening the lower sections. The shelves are all original in both sections and fully adjustable.
These bookcases are of the highest quality London cabinet making and are similar to furniture made by Wilson`s of Gt Queen St and Wilkinson`s of Ludgate Hill though neither of these bookcases bear makers stamps.
The patination and colour are beautifully rich and these bookcases would grace any library or drawing room.
We have our own van and can offer well priced deliveries to all parts of the UK including weekly deliveries to London and the Home Counties.
