A mid 19th c Cornish simulated maple pine chest of two short and three long drawers . This charming chest is in completely original condition with the simulated maple paint effect and ebonised handles. The drawers are flanked by turned half round columns on a plinth base. West Country-- Cornwall c 1850

Description
This dresser which has gone a wonderful naturally pale bleached colour over the years has a drawer configuration typical of the West Cornwall area. The wide backboards indicate a date earlier in the 19th century as do the mouldings on the rack and shelf fronts. The proportions and size are excellent and it would look great in a seaside house or a cottage.

A Victorian painted pine chest of drawers c 1870 by Heal and Son with the original decoration .
This chest an early example by Heals before Ambrose Heal joined the family business is unusual in having the original soft sand coloured paint with pale red lines. The drawers run beautifully as one would expect from a London cabinetmaker and all the handles are original. The bun feet are later replacements

A set of 6 Cotswold School ash ladder back chairs c 1920 designed by Ernest Gimson and attributed to Edward Gardner.
These tall elegant chairs are a lovely rich colour and the rushing is in excellent condition. Although unmarked they are most likely made by Edward Gardner in the Gimson workshops in Gloucestershire just after the 1st World War.
